Welcome!

Welcome to the Mustard seed!

First off, let me throw a little disclaimer out there. I have never been one to think I would be a writer. I have many things to say, but when I try to get it on paper, It’s not as eloquent as it was in my head. So please think of this blog as casual writing. All you type A’s out there, I am sure you will find a better way to word some things. Please look past the grammatical, and look at my heart. God has laid it on my heart to write about my experience and trials through infertility. Writing doesn’t come naturally to me, but I have noticed that God pushes you in situations that you have to totally rely on him. This blog is one of those situations.

I am actually a very private person and was very hesitant to put my information out on the web. Infertility is a very vulnerable and emotional topic. In this blog, I try to be as transparent as I can. Not so you can have TMI (too much information) about my life, but hopefully for it to help you in your journey. Whether you are the one directly or indirectly affected, I hope this blog gives you a better understanding of the stages, feelings, and fears that one is faced with when going through infertility.

Please keep in mind I am not a doctor. I am only giving advice through my experience. Think of me a close friend, and we are just talking over coffee. Some of the articles may or may not apply to you. Everyone’s fertility journey is different. My friend encouraged me to start this blog.  She is going through her own fertility journey.

She said,” I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have you to give me a heads up on the procedures, medicines, etc.” .

Sometimes it’s just good to hear from a friends prospective not just the doctors. I am your friend through this journey. If your doctor suggests something different than what I say, please listen to him and not me.

I have decided for now that I am going to use a pin name, basically to protect the information that I give about my husband. I want to be able to write freely without having someone look at me differently at church or in the grocery store. For now, I will go by Faith. So every time I write, it will be a reminder to have “Faith” that God knows what he is doing, and he has the ultimate plan.

I hope that my blog will help you along your journey. We can laugh, cry and scream together in the company of people who REALLY know what you are going through.
